Los Lobos Perform Saturday Night at One World Theater

April 24, 2009 6:00 am by: Laurie Gallardo

Los Lobos have been around for awhile. They’ve seen it all. From this, they create music that proudly incorporates Latino culture, but the songs are for everyone. These are songs about life.

The band began making music as Los Lobos Del Este Los Angeles, back in 1973. They reached out and borrowed from the music they grew up with: Blues, jazz, rock, salsa, cumbias, rockabilly, country, you name it. It’s a reflection of the Mexican-American experience, embracing the music and making it their own.

Los Lobos have two performances scheduled for this Saturday at One World Theater, 7701 Bee Cave Rd. Show times are 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Check the website for ticket information.
