Kinky Friedman Rides Again
The humorist, author and musician is seriously eyeing another run for Governor of Texas.
Humorist Kinky Friedman is forming a committee to explore a run for the 2010 Democratic nomination for Governor.
He ran for the office as an independent in 2006, winning 12 percent of the statewide vote.
In a letter to supporters on his website, Friedman says his bid is a serious challenge to what he sees as a “lack of leadership” on the state level. He wants to fuse the independent support he garnered in 2006 with that of Texas Democrats.
