Forecasters Average Hurricane Season

The annual spring forecast calls for quieter hurricane year than 2008.

Climatologists are predicting an average Atlantic hurricane season for 2009.

The forecast from Colorado State University expects six hurricanes to form in the Atlantic Ocean this summer.

Two of those storms are expected to be Category 3 or higher. Hurricane season officially starts June 1st.
