First Swine Flu Death in the U.S.

Health officials say a toddler from Mexico died in Texas from the swine flu.

Austin-Travis County Health and Human Services told KUT News there is one possible case of swine flu in Travis County.

The Department of State Health Services now has confirmed 16 cases in Texas this year.

All Schools in the New Braunfels and Comal Independent School Districts are closed. Three of the state’s confirmed swine flu cases were in that region.

All private schools in Comal County are also closed. Students and staff will return to class May 11th.
