Dave Alvin Live – April 18, 2009
Californian, outlaw singer/songwriter and master Blaster Dave Alvin is making a few life changes since the recent passing of his close friend and musical collaborator Chris Gaffney. One of those changes is the assembling of a new group known as the Guilty Women, featuring Austin-based Cindy Cashdollar and Lisa Pankratz. The quintet’s new self-titled release is no novelty act, with a tight, supportive rhythm section and Alvin’s vocals a bit softer than much of his previous work.
