Creating New Tier One Schools
The movement to create additional so called "Tier One" universities in Texas has taken a step forward in the state Legislature.
The House has passed a bill that would provide additional funding to schools that are on the way to gaining national research prominence. But there are still questions about how much money the state will be able to spend on the project.
