Austin Priest Missing in Mexico

Reverend Jesse Euresti may have been attacked on visit to Nuevo Laredo.

The Diocese of Austin says one of its priests, Father Jesse Euresti, is missing. Father Euresti is pastor at Cristo Rey Parish in Austin. The 69 year old priest was on a visit to Nuevo Laredo to prepare his retirement home. Reports say Father Euresti arrived at his destination on Tuesday. But shortly thereafter, a visitor found the priest’s home ransacked and evidence of a possible stabbing.

Mexican police are investigating.
