Arrest Made in Connection with Slain Priest

Mexican authorities have arrested a man related to the death of an Austin priest.

Police say Manuel Martin Torres Saldana was the caretaker of Father Jesse Euresti’s home in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.

Euresti’s body was found along a highway near Nuevo Laredo April 5.

East Austin’s Cristo Rey Parish will hold a rosary April 7 at seven for their pastor. A Funeral mass is scheduled for April 8 at seven pm, and the private burial will be April 9.
