Voter ID Takes Spotlight Again
Should people be required to show photo ID at the polls? The state senate takes this up March 10th.
Senators will meet to consider voter ID legislation. Opponents say the bill would disenfranchise minority, poor, and elderly voters. Supporters say the legislation would prevent voter fraud. The Republican-controlled Senate is expected to pass the bill. After that it goes to the House, where the outcome is less certain.
