Trying to Change the Top Ten Percent Law…Again

Another attempt to make changes to the way the University of Texas at Austin admits students has begun in the Texas Legislature.

Current law guarantees admission into Texas colleges for all high school students graduating in the top ten percent of their class. UT-Austin officials say the school is on the brink of only being able to use that single criteria to admit students.
