The Vaquetones Play Thursday Night at Scoot Inn

March 11, 2009 6:00 am by: Laurie Gallardo

Actually, it’s not strictly rockabilly that Orange County band The Vaquetones bring to their fans. Band founder Miguel Garcia prefers “Baja-Western,” to be more specific. There are generous portions of country, western, roots, honky tonk and Tex Mex in the equation, with a West Coast Latino flavor keeping it real.

The Vaquetones will be in town Thursday night for a show at the Scoot Inn, 1308 E. 4th St. at Navasota. The bill includes performances by Leo Rondeau, and Dave Insley’s Careless Smokers. Swing it, man.
