Stimulus Stop and Start

The Austin Independent School District is asking for the public's input on how it should spend the federal stimulus funding it is expecting.

The district does not exactly know how much money it is going to get, or when it is going to get it. But the district does know it will have to spend all the money between July 1, 2009, and June 30, 2011. Dr. Pat Forgione is Superintendent of Austin schools until June 30, 2009.
