Turk Pipkin has had a long and varied career—he’s been a street performer, a comedian, an author, and an actor, among other things. For the past several years, though, he’s been consumed by the Nobelity Project , an organization he founded to try and take on some of the pressing problems of the world. He’s traveled the world, helping build schools and drinking water systems, and he’s made two documentary films. Right now, the community room of the Austin museum of art is showing a collection of photographs he’s taken on the journey.

Where: Austin Museum of Art, 823 Congress Avenue at 9th Street (a free exhibit in the community room)
When: until April 14
Also: The world premiere of the Nobelity Project’s second documentary film, One Peace At a Time, April 14 at the Paramount Theatre
