Making Water Systems Smarter

Smart grids are digitized systems used to control electricity. They’re being touted as a way for utilities to manage resources more efficiently. IBM is helping to “smarten up” Austin’s electric grid as part of the city’s Pecan Street Project. Now the computing giant wants to apply the concept to water utilities.
