I-35 Near Downtown Reopens After Crash

Police had to shut down I-35 near Brackenridge hospital around 8 o’clock this morning, Saturday March 14. A car and an 18-wheeler collided causing serious injuries to the driver and passenger in the car. The two were taken to the University Medical Center at Brackenridge.

The southbound lanes of the interstate were shut down for almost five hours backing up traffic for miles.

Police reopened the interstate around one o’clock this afternoon.
