Homeless For The Weekend

A handful of well-to-do Austinites give up shelter, food, water and money to walk in the steps of Austin's homeless.

It’s called “Street Retreats” hosted by Moblie Loaves and Fishes. About 15 people this weekend started at Wooldridge Square Park in downtown Austin and will experience what it’s like to be homeless in Austin for 48 hours.
