Gomez: “Little Pieces”

Gomez is a five-piece from Southport, England. The band enjoyed major success in the UK early on, winning the Mercury Prize for their debut album, 1998’s Bring It On. And after joining forces with Dave Matthew’s label, ATO Records in 2005, the band has been touring the U.S. extensively.

Gomez have a new album, called A New Tide, slated to hit record stores tomorrow and they were in town for SXSW last week to promote the release. They stopped by KUT’s historic Studio 1A for a quick session of some new tunes.

Today’s song of the day is a tune from that session. It’s called “Little Pieces.”
