Giant Sand: "Jumpin' Jack Flash"
Howe Gelb formed Giant Sand in 1985, in Tuscon, Arizona. For a long time, the rhythm section consisted of John Convertino and Joey Burns. The two left the band when their side project, Calexico, began to gain more momentum and overtake the notoriety of Giant Sand.
