Changing to Abstinence PLUS in Texas

Several bills are working through the Texas Legislature that would shift the state's public sex education program away from the current Abstinence ONLY guidelines.

Proponents say the change is needed because kids need more than to just be told, “no.” Opponents say why change a system that’s working. With teen pregnancies down since abstinence only started being used in schools.
