Change to Census Sparks Some Concern

A meeting of local and federal demographers in Austin stirred some passions.

The U.S. Census Bureau is changing the way it gathers social, economic, demographic and housing data. Numbers that dictate the direction of about 300 billion dollars in federal funding annually. Some local government officials are wary of the new Census system.
