Billy Bob Thornton In Austin

The Texas Film Hall of Fame has three new inductees, Larry Hagman, Boothe Powers and Billy Bob Thornton.

Thornton isn’t a Natural born Texan but has lived in the lone star state before and portrayed many a Texan in his films. Thornton won an Oscar for the film “Sling Blade” and may be best recognized for the character he portrayed, Karl. He’s in Austin to receive another big award, becoming an honorary Texan and spoke to KUT’s Julie Moody about it.
