Bastrop Fire Insurance Woes

Many houses in Bastrop were saved but some were completely destroyed without insurance coverage.

The wildfire that started Saturday February 28th burned about 1200 acres and destroyed 28 homes.

Hundreds of people were evacuated. Some residents were allowed to survey damage for a couple of hours Sunday March 1st. Some haven’t even been able to reach their homes yet because firefighters are still putting out hot spots.
