Jared Dunten didn’t become a painter until after a serious neck injury left him paralyzed from the neck down. Encouraged by his parents, he took up painting, using a device his father helped design that allows him to hold a paintbrush in his mouth. Now, he has an exhibit called Painting My Way Out at Access Gallery. He’ll also open his newly renovated gallery space in Spicewood as part of the Spring Art and Wine Show on April 18 and 19.

Painting My Way Out:
through March 28 at Access Gallery at 37th and Guadalupe

Spring Art and Wine Show:
in Spicewood, TX, April 18 and 19.
