Volunteer Deputy Registrars Wanted

February 10, 2009 3:32 pm by: KUT Staff

Travis County is looking for volunteer deputy voter registrars for the 2009 elections. The deputy registrars help get voters signed up to participate in the next voting cycle. The county’s chief registrar, Tax Collector Nelda Wells Spears, says volunteers help over 98 percent of the eligible population register for the last election.

If interested, there will be one hour open house sessions during the week of February 16th. Volunteers must be both at least 18 years of age and Travis County residents. If you have any questions, contact Cheryl Reese at (512)854-9471 extension number 33284.
