UT System under Flexible Hiring Freeze

The University of Texas system's new Chancellor Francisco Cigarroa announced the system-wide freeze Feb. 10th.

It’s for non-faculty positions and it’s up to campus presidents to decide which jobs this will affect. Cigarroa also plans to recommend the Board of Regents freeze salaries for senior executives at all UT schools and for the UT System administration. That would include him, campus presidents, and vice chancellors.
