UT Austin Salary Freezes

University of Texas at Austin President William Powers is freezing the salaries of all vice presidents and deans.

The freeze does not apply to associate or assistant vice presidents or deans. Salary freezes will stay in effect until August 31, 2010. President Powers also announced there will not be any merit salary increases in March. On February 11th, UT System Chancellor Francisco Cigarroa had recommended freezing salaries for senior executives at all UT campuses and for the UT System administration.
