Stolen Reciepts From San Antonio Hotels
Thousands of people could be victims of identity theft.
Personal information from about seventeen thousand people has been stolen. Investigators say suspects stole credit card receipts from at least three hotels in San Antonio. The information was then used to make fraudulent purchases.
The San Antonio Express-News is reporting that one of the hotels was the Emily Morgan Hotel located in downtown San Antonio.
Authorities have charged seven people with aggravated identity theft and possessing equipment to alter credit cards.
