Spansion Makes Partial Tax Payment
The flash computer memory maker took a significant bite out of its overdue property tax bill.
Flash memory maker Spansion has paid part of its late property taxes owed to Travis County.
Travis County Tax Collector Nelda Wells Spears said February 13 that the company wired payment of nearly $7.4 million in delinquent property taxes. The company agreed to pay the balance over the next few months.
Spansion’s Austin facility was seized on February 12 for non-payment of $8.6 million in back property taxes.
