Rail Plan Like The Europeans

Regional transportation planners perked up to listen to how the Europeans connect their cities.

Transportation experts from Germany, France, Denmark and Amsterdam came to Austin Friday, February 20 to talk to Central Texas and San Antonio transportation planners about their projects. The Europeans are well ahead of the the U.S. in terms of rail line…with high-speed rail lines zipping passengers from city to city at 150 m.p.h or faster. Texas regional planners hoped to take away advice on how to build a regional rail line in Central Texas.
