Laura Hall’s Sentence Thrown Out
But The Texas 3rd Court of Appeals upheld her conviction of tampering with evidence in the high profile murder of Jennifer Cave.
Hall was serving a 5 year sentence. She was accused of helping Colton Pitonyak dismember Cave’s body in an apartment near the UT Campus in 2005. The court said a new trial is required on Hall’s punishment. Colton Pitonyak is serving 55 years for the murder. Hall was released from jail on a $150 thousand bond February 18th.
