Lake Boardwalk Ain’t No Cake Walk

The city's proposed boardwalk has property owners flushed with opposition.

The City of Austin is trying to close a gap in the Hike And Bike Trail along Lady Bird Lake. A proposed 1.2 mile steel-constructed boardwalk would link the trail from east to west. At this week’s city council meeting, council members met privately with city attorneys about the project. Because upset property owners along the lake might be taking action.
