Greyhounds: ‘Get Back’
Greyhounds are a local funk and blues outfit spearheaded by Andrew Trube and Anthony Farrell. The pair moved to Austin in 2005 from L.A. and have become a central part of a burgeoning funk scene in town (check out Thomas Fawcett’s review of another funk/soul album by T-Bird and the Breaks, here).
And the band has recently gained something of an unexpected jump in their fan-base, opening for American Idol’s Taylor Hicks a couple of summers ago.
The band is back with a new album, called ¡No Más!, and they dropped by KUTa few weeks ago to record some tunes.
Today’s song of the day is a tune from that session called ‘Get Back.’
