One listen to Molly Venter’s latest recording proves the local folk singer/songwriter is not afraid to be brutally honest with herself and the listener. Her husky voice and quiet confidence is a rare treat in the vast world of solo acoustic performers. Venter performs at the Cactus Cafe Tuesday night with Portland songstress Raina Rose before venturing off to the annual Folk Alliance in Memphis, TN this year.
