Austin Library Services in High Demand

The City of Austin may have to trim library hours because of the limited budget, even as residents are relying on library services more due to the economic downturn.

The economic downturn has attracted a growing number of people to their local public library. Throughout the city, libraries are reporting an increase in internet usage for the unemployed or recently laid off. The Faulk Central Library alone, has seen an increase of 26% in internet usage.
