A New (Recycled) Bookstore Opens

Recycle Reads will open its doors on Burnet Road. The books will range in price from 50 cents to 2 dollars, and the store will be primarily operated by volunteers.

Materials for the used bookstore will be withdrawn from the library’s collection and from private donations. Thousands of books, videos, record albums, andassorted media will be sold for just $1 and $2 each, and proceeds from the sales will directly benefit the Austin Public Library.
