TV Stations Host DTV Workshops

January 6, 2009 3:49 pm by: KUT Staff

Each of Austin’s six television stations will hold workshops throughout Central Texas January 6 at 6:00 p.m. on how people can receive digital TV signals through a special converter box.

Demand for federally-funded coupons taking 20 dollars off the cost of a converter reportedly exceeded supply.

Only one workship is scheduled in Austin. That will be at the Univision Studios, 2233 W. North Loop Blvd. It’s sponsored by Univision’s Austin affiliate, KAKW.

Forums will also be held at the Taylor Public Library, 801 Vance St. in Taylor; Lantex Theatre, 113 W Main St. in Llano; the LCRA Riverside Conference Center at 1405 Willow St. in Bastrop; the Bee Cave Library in the Hill Country Galleria at 4000 Galleria Parkway and at the Nimitz Museum Community Room 340 East Main St. in Fredericksburg.
