Recession Effects on Unemployment Funds

The Texas unemployment rate is 5.7%. The highest it's been since November 2004.

More than 600-thousand Texans are looking for work as 2009 begins. Some of those workers collect unemployment compensation to help get by while they look for work. KUT reports on the health of the trust fund that pays out that money.
