Little Regulation Over Texas Coal Ash

Texas is home to numerous coal-fired power plants and its dumping grounds.

Disposal of coal ash from coal-fired power plants in Texas is minimally regulated at both the state and federal level. After last month’s catastrophic coal ash spill in Tennessee, environmentalists are calling for more oversight.
