Rumor has it that Texas singer/songwriter James McMurtry was discovered by John Mellencamp, while the pop star was working on a film written by literary icon and James’ father Larry McMurtry. No matter the real story, James is the quintessential road warrior, touring to make albums and making albums to tour. His latest, Just Us Kids is engaging, political, poetic and pure McMurtry.
