East Austin Businesses Ready for Rail
The MetroRail line will start running on March 30th. After months of delays, businesses near the East Austin stations are finally gearing up for the growth in traffic.
In a little over two months, the commuter rail line will finally start running between Leander and downtown Austin. Construction crews are still putting the finishing touches on the stations, like the one on Martin Luther King Drive, in East Austin. Crispin Garcia is an ice cream vendor from Mexico who set up shop near the station since construction started. He says that since the workers showed up, his business has been going great.
