Barbara Lynn Turns 67
The Queen of Gulf Coast Soul Blues turned 67 last week. Barbara Lynn bust onto the charts in 1962 with “You’ll Lose a Good Thing“. A song she wrote wrote after catching her beau with another woman. And nearly 50 years after her first hit, Lynn still knows how to put on a show. Despite a fear of flying and growing grandchildren Lynn still finds time to tour. David Brown has the story of this legendary R&B powerhouse.
