Austin Writer, Poet, And Activist Dies
Ana Sisnett died Tuesday afternoon January 13, 2009 after a three year battle with ovarian cancer. She was 56 years old.
Among many of Sisnett’s accomplishments was working to bridge the digital divide in Austin. She was the Executive Director for Austin Free Net, a non-profit organization that helps provide public access to the internet. Kate Messer is a Senior Editor at the Austin Chronicle. Messer spoke to KUT’s Julie Moody about the passion and drive her dear friend possessed.
