Acevedo Reluctantly Proposes Budget Cuts

City Manager Marc Ott asked all departments to cut budgets by two percent.

Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo – with reservations – offered cuts to APD’s budget but not without saying the cuts would impact the city negatively. APD is graduating 65 new officers but future officers will be impacted.
