2009 State Budget Preview

The 2009 Texas Legislative session begins January 13th. Lawmakers will have 140 days to wade through thousands of bills. But the only one they're constitutionally required to pass is the state budget.

KUT will preview the budget over the next two days. Today a report on how passage of the state’s massive spending bill could be more difficult this year considering the instability of the national economy.
