Torq of Stars
Montreal native, Torquil Campbell, formed Stars in 2001. In the time between their four studio albums, Campbell appeared in several film, plays, and TV shows, including Sex in the City and Law & Order. Campbell channels that abundant creativity into making seriously complex and expansive music. The group’s latest album In Our Bedroom After the War takes their heavily orchestrated chamber pop sound to new heights. It should come as no surprise then that Campbell takes his cues from the smartest and most dramatic musical era: 80′s British rock. His favorite out of them all: Two Wheels Good by Prefab Sprout.
