T-Bird and the Breaks: “Blackberry Brandy”

Tim Crane is the brain-child behind the 1960′s throwback big-band T-Bird and the Breaks. The 11-piece band features Crane and keyboards, percussion, two saxes, backup singers, and lead, rhythm and bass guitars.

The band’s debut album will hit music stores in late January, but we’ve got a sneak preview for you.

This tune, called ‘Blackberry Brandy‘ is one the band performed in KUT’s Studio 1A two weeks ago. It’s got a great neo-soul vibe, effectively fusing 1960′s-style soul with modern rhythm and blues.
