Seth Walker Plays This Friday Night at The Saxon Pub

December 4, 2008 6:00 am by: Laurie Gallardo

Like most musicians who love the blues, singer-songwriter Seth Walker always pays his respects to the legends who have paved the way, like T-Bone Walker, Jimmy Reed and B.B. King. At the same time, he’s constantly exploring ways of moving beyond tradition to make his own mark. His infectious style of blues is injected with rock, soul, boogie and swing, giving it an edge that draws the crowds in.

Originally from North Carolina, Walker moved to Austin about 10 years ago to carve his own niche in the thriving music scene. He’s performed alongside Charlie Musselwhite, Marcia Ball, Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis, to name but a few on the endless roster of shows he’s done.

You can make some time to see Walker perform this Friday night at 11:30 p.m. at The Saxon Pub, 1320 S. Lamar. Watch him get down and dirty.
