Future Clouds and Radar: “The Epcot View”

December 10, 2008 5:00 am by: Andrew Uhler

Austin music veteran Robert Harrison made a name for himself as the chief songwriter and visionary of Cotton Mather. Always lauded by critics for his song craft, but never really obtaining the necessary commercial success, Harrison dissolved Mather and turned his focus to another endeavor: Future Clouds and Radar.

Future Clouds’ double-disc debut received much acclaim and garnered comparisons to The Beatles, The Flaming Lips and Guided by Voices.

Harrison and crew have just released a follow up, called Peoria (check out our full review here).

This tune, “The Epcot View,” gets the album started. But this version is a bit of an exclusive, recorded at KUT Austin.
