Freedy Johnston Plays Tonight at The Saxon Pub

December 8, 2008 6:00 am by: Laurie Gallardo

Freedy Johnston has lived in several places, but he’s originally from Kinsley, Kansas. He made his debut in 1992 with Can You Fly. It didn’t take long for him to get the reputation of being “a songwriter’s songwriter.”

Now, after making so many albums, and living in cities like Madison, New York City, Nashville and Wichita, Johnston’s got a new home here in Austin, where he’s already working on his next project and doing something else he loves: Making music with his friends.

Johnston has a regular December gig at the Saxon Pub, 1320 S. Lamar, where you can see him tonight at 8:30 p.m. Stop on by and welcome him home.
