Erin Ivey: “Atlantic City”

Local singer/songwriter Erin Ivey was voted one of the top 5 best unsigned artists in Austin last year. And it seems like only a matter of time before she starts getting due recognition (her song “Chocolate” was recently referenced on Perez Hilton’s blog, which won’t hurt).

She recently dropped by KUT to record some tunes. And this one, a cover of Bruce Springsteen‘s “Atlantic City,” really stuck out. It’s sparse and haunting and this version of the song rivals the original in its poignancy.
